  • Help....Newbie here!

    :wave
Hello, I am new here and desperate to do it!
I would appreciate any tricks that you all may have up your sleeve.
Is it possible to gradually slide in to Atkins?
    Thanks,
    Jen

:wave Hi and welcome to the board Jen.

I would say the biggest tip anyone can give you is for you to buy and read the book. Dr Atkins New Diet Revolution. (DANDR for short).

This is the book that we all go by, and if you follow it you will be successful.

With regards to your other question. The answer is a big NO :no You really must just go for it and bite the bullet. It is impossible to slide into it gently. It must be treated as "all or nothing". But if you do a squeaky clean two week induction you will find the rest incredibly easy.

I hope this helps. If you have any questions at all please do not hesitate to ask.

    Best Wishes.

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

I agree! ALL OR NOTHING (preferably ALL!) :nod

I gave it 2 weeks .. that was nearly 4 years ago and now I'm in lifetime maintenance forever!

            Welcome to the board!

And I agree with everyone, do it all the way. I tried starting halfway last June 1st, June 14th I started and that's when things started working.

The only trick is to follow the plan.

            Good luck!
