Hi! I've been lurking here for quite some time now and am hoping that participation in the board here will help keep me on track. I've just completed the two week induction - not perfectly so I'll probably stay with it another week or two - and have lost 8 1/2 pounds. I've a LONG way to go!!!!

LOL... took me a while to just figure out how to reply!!! I'm female, 44 years old, and have set my first goal at losing 25 pounds. I have a long way to go but can wrap my brain around 25 without feeling overwhelmed.

It's most difficult right now to give up my daily latte. That's why induction wasn't perfect. I can give up a lot of things but do I have to give up the 1% milk in my latte too??? Just whining......

Thank you all for the welcome! I'm not very computer savvy so it'll take me a while to figure things out. Think I'll work on setting up one of the weight loss tickers many of you seem to have. My 13 year old could probably do it in 5 minutes. It'll take me 5 days!

              :ThumbsUp

*hehe* Yes Yankee, including your 1% milk as well... just for the time being until you can add it back in one of th erungs in OWL.

Hey 25 pounds isn't too bad. Look at it positively - you will reach your goal sooner than some, and 25 pounds isn't too far away :yes

I got my ticker from www.tickerfactory.com - pick a weightloss ticker and follow the prompts - it's quite straight forward and has a wide selection
took me absolutely ages to work out how to get all these fancy pics everyone else seems to have. These are located in one of the other forums - here's the link: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...ic.php?t=58149
It comes from the "Testing and Technical Questions" forum and has some other cool stuff there to help you set up

PS 8 pounds lost so far out of 25 - that's like 24%!!! I heard that losing 5-10% initially is the norm, so you are doing great!
