  • And yet another newbie!

:wave Hi everyone, I'm new to the board, but not exactly new to Atkins. I've been on it for 11 weeks now and feeling great!

Due to weight fluctuations, I don't have exact numbers, but my starting weight was between 224 - 230 and is currently between 206 - 210. I'm a 42 year old female and I'm 5' 10". I don't have an exact goal weight, although 140 - 150 sounds good. I really just want to look good and feel good. I guess my height has helped hide a lot of those pounds, but I've always known they were there and I'm ready for them to be gone!

I keep my net carbs between 20 - 30 grams a day. I work out with a personal trainer 3 days a week doing functional training, and do cardio 5 - 6 days a week, mostly using the elliptical, sometimes the bike and every now and then the treadmill.

I haven't cheated at all, although there have been a few times when my mouth just drooled over the thought of some food item, but I keep telling myself there isn't a food item out there that's worth going back for. And I try to focus on all of the good things I can eat, not what I shouldn't eat.

I do have a question about exercising and Atkins, but I'll post it in the exercise forum.

welcome - you seem excited and motivated and i think that that is a key thing here at atkins
congrats on doing so well so far- and how exciting you are almost in onderland(199lbs or less)
Technically if you are doing atkins you should not be going above 20 carbs a day period..
i hope to see you around the boards more often..
