I noticed yesterday while feeding my son that I have a habit of licking the bottom of the spoon to stop it dripping on his chin.. I wonder how many cheeky carbs I have stacked up like this? Must stop now! Anyone else do this?

Re: Licking the spoon!
Just a thought but why don't you brush the bottom of the spoon against the bowl before putting it to his mouth? At least you have a bib on him and you can wipe the whole mess up when your done, maybe just let him get messy.Sookie

Re: Licking the spoon!
LOL - yep, letting him get messy is probably the way to go! The problem is he has really sensitive skin and if he gets food smeared all over his chin, he comes out in a prickly rash... poor wee mite! I do wipe the spoon on the bowl, but because I press it to his bottom lip to get him to open up, I lick it as well just to keep it clean...
So I'm only getting tiny tastes of his food, but still, probably not a good idea!
