Re: help
The rate of weight loss depends on various factors like age, metabolic resistance, weight, activity level, lean body mass, etc., so knowing how much/fast others have lost is not necessarily useful and comparisons can be discouraging.
At the end of the 14 days, you should determine your degree of metabolic resistance using the chart on page 158 of DANDR 2002.
Dr. Atkins wrote that it's safe to stay on Induction for 6 months or more. To see when you should move to OWL, you will first have to read Chapter 13.
Did you know there is a Century Club on the Board, for people who have over 100 lbs to lose? You'll probably want to check that. For inspiration and success stories, the "Before and After Pics" and "Atkins Low Carb Success Stories" forums have plenty of them.
How low are you keeping your carbs? You should be eating 3 cups of vegetables per day (max. 1 of which can come from the "Other Vegetables" list) and over half of your net carbs should be from veggies.
What is your average macronutrient breakdown? The approximate numbers you should aim for in Induction are 65% fat, 5% carbs and 30% protein.
About exercise. Dr. Atkins wrote you are not doing his diet if you are not exercising. As he puts it, "exercise is non-negotiable". Find something you enjoy doing and stick to it. Walking is a good start for many.
Welcome to the Board and happy Atkinsing!

Re: help
By the way, you will get more replies if you post in the open forums, not in the "Social Groups". If you don't know where exactly to post, the "Main Atkins Diet" forum is usually a good guess.
