  • Lynne's Journey

I keep restarting. Yesterday I didn't get my water in and if I don't get started now, I'll have the same problem tomorrow.
Kept to the acceptable list, but was dying for some juicy fruit. I drank water instead and that seemed to help
Exercise, I get a D on that one, walked for a short while, but it started to rain and the wind blew, so that ended that.
    Day one again

      Hi, Lynne,

Nice to know your name, although DesertThorn is a beautiful handle. I think of all the gorgeous desert flowers blooming. Here's a link to what I "see" when I read it. A desert garden

Have you tried the fruit flavored herbal teas? I get one called Perfect Peach, and it really does taste like peaches! It has 0 grams of carbs.

I'm low on the water today, too... so am going to go pour a big glass right now.

Rain and wind is a very good reason to not get out and walk. Maybe the sun will shine tomorrow.

Good luck. I KNOW how hard it is to get back into induction when you've been off. It seems like everything in you rebels against doing it again!

Tellin me it's hard, but I'm determined. I have some mango/something white tea that I like, but I just don't know what it will taste like with coconut oil floating on top. LOL

I can see why the thought isn't real exciting!

Let us know how it turns out. Mine vanilla chai tea with cream and coconut oil was pretty good. I think the cream made the difference.

Congrats on going back to induction Lynne. It's hard for me to suck down all that water too, but I am trying (glug, glug, glug)

Oh shoot, again, I'm short on water and its about bedtime. Do you think I can get 5 glasses of water in the next 2 hours. ?
                Well, other than the water....
I had an egg nog for breakfast
Leftover Fiesta bowl for lunch and
                Burger/Cabbage and Cheese for dinner.

The Fiesta bowl is really great to have when your busy. Last week I fried up a lot of ground beef, divided it into servings and with one I made a Fiesta bowl. When I reheated the beef, I added taco seasoning, then in a bowl I just made a taco salad with lettuce, tomato, cheese, onion, avocado, and sour cream and salsa. Sounds like a lot but it wasn't at all.
Were having a windstorm so I didn't get out to walk, but I did my WATP tape for 1 mile.
                Water, Water, Water,

                  The Fiesta bowl sounds great!

I have been making taco salad once a week, and using the leftover meat in mini-taco salads (without the avocado and olives). It's one of the tastiest, most satisfying, quick-put-together mini meals I've found.

I like the name Fiesta Bowl better!

Doing better today, I also had a mini whoosh but I'm ignoring it as I might be right back up tomorrow...You think it was that coconut oil tea?
Its just after 9 and I have already had 2 glasses of water so today I'm going to make it. Water every time I walk into the kitchen.

You guys are making me hungry! Sounds delicious. Thanks for the ideas Lynne. Congrats on the loss, if it goes, it will come back and stay.

I bought a large thermos type cup that holds 32 ozs at Wal-mart. If I drink two of those a day, I know I'm good. I add lemon slices and ice to mine, makes it taste a little better.

So glad you got a mini-whoosh, too!!!

I'm not ignoring mine as it has been 6 weeks... and even it if goes back up, I SAW that number!

I'm working on the water, too, but am a little behind. I had to chug before I went to bed last night to get it all in... which meant I was up twice last night!

                          Trying to do better today.

I feel so superior (to whom I don't know) but its not even noon and I have had my 4 glasses of water and did the one mile WATP's tape. Now all I have to do is focus on eating right and I will be fine.
