Hillsborough River State Park in Florida... just north of Tampa. We usually spend November and December camping in Florida because all my family is there.

I say yes. Pork rinds have a *ton* of salt in them, and we all know salt = water retention.

I'd say it's DEFINITELY the pork rinds. Which means that if you drink a lot of water, it should whoosh away again.

ahhhh... pork rinds, I used to LOVE them, until I choked on one and that was it for me. I'm afraid to eat them now! I guess I don't need them, but it's nice to have something crunchy.

Mickkie, dill pickles, have the crunch and legal

Well, day wasn't so bad, I had an eggnog for breakfast but added my vitamins to them and, yuck nasty - nasty taste. (I have these ever expensive vitamins that I bought when I thought I was dying, (another story for another day) and it comes in both pill form and powder. When I wasn't doing Atkins I could mix them in my pomegranate-yogurt and a raw egg shake and it was fine, but DOESNOT work in eggnog. So I am going to have to figure out something else to hide it in, maybe I'll bury it in a hamburger or something.....
Lunch, I was volunteering at the hospital today and their choice was roast turkey and beef something, neither of which sounded particularly tasty so I went with the salad bar and that was pretty good...
Dinner was a great buffalo burger, with bacon, onions and smoky gouda cheese. OMG it was delicious, but I don't think the bacon did my salt overdose from yesterday any good. I could double up on my water pill....
                      Not much exercise today

Lynne, are they? I didn't think dill pickles were legal. Thanks for the suggestion. I usually opt for celery with cream cheese, but I can get carried away with the amount easily, all that crunching can go on forever with me.

Pickles are very legal. Dills anyway

                            Re: Lynne's Journey

Lynne -- good for you -- you made good choices today ... I flashed back to my horrible day at the hospital with mom about a month ago where there were only a few "stations" open serving food...most of them breaded items or heavy soups that aren't legal...oh and I forgot...the HUGE slices of pizza - anyway I'm glad you ate a healthy salad!!

Pork Rinds....they will get you everytime. When I was younger I could eat a whole bag full but now I just can't seem to choke them down. I thought maybe the plain ones were too plain so I got some hot rinds....almost burnt my mouth off! I did use pork rinds to make meatballs for SuperBowl that was yummie..that's the only way I can eat them now -- hiding them. Dill pickles sound yummie...might have to get a jar of those.

                            Good luck tomorrow!!

Spreading cream cheese with chives & seasonings on pork rinds is a new favorite way for me to eat them. The cream cheese keeps them from being so dry. And it makes them a lot more satisfying. I do try to stick to -.6 oz pork rinds at a time. (0.5 oz. makes me feel like I'm being chinzed.)

Made it through the day. The C B L T A, salad was awesome by the way, and filling, and legal and I think I will get my water in before bed

                                Thanks for the friendship..
