I am on my second day of induction on my second Atkins journey. I "only" have 14 pounds to lose which makes support hard to come by. My family says I am thin enough already. (They are being kind.) My co-workers generally do not support Atkins and tend to be at least 20 pounds overweight. Surprised? So I am going on this journey alone... except for the wonderful soulmates on this site.

Day One on induction was very good. I had made a large batch of Salmon salad and purchased some Boston lettuce leaves to use as my "Bread." I was shocked at how crunchy the lettuce was and lunch was delightful. Dinner was homemade taco salad. Fitday calculated my intake at 15 carbs for the day. I also had 6 - 20oz bottles of water... and I was up in the bathroom a few times last night. All-in-all a pretty solid start.

I am now in the middle of day 2. I finished off the salmon salad and Boston Lettuce for lunch and we are having Chicken Piccata for dinner. My wife is cooking tonight so I will need to monitor my portion and have her skip any flour and minimize the lemon. Water intake today is holding at 40 ounces and I feel well. I am going to stop at the pharmacy and buy some Ketone strips. I know some of you do not believe in them but the served as encouragement for me last time.
