cause I am hungry as a horse right now. I have to admit that for the past three days I have been eating up to 1900 calories a day which is way more than my usual 1300-1500. This shouldn't bother me because I started re reading the book. I am on the 2009 READ the Book Challenge and I know that calories shouldn't or don't count.

Anyway, the only new addition to my diet is the Laughing Cow Light Garlic and Herb flavor spredable Cheese Wedges that I bought to take along on my road to trip los Angeles. They nutritional information indicates that each wedge has 35 calories, 2 grams of fat, 1 carb / 1 sugar and 2.5 grams of protein. The ingredients are light cheddar, cheddard, swiss and semi soft cheeses whey, cream, sodium phosphate, sodium citrate, salt, natural flavors, parsley , onion and garlic. I don't think that these should have set me off but....

I have been spreading this on celery and cucumber slices all weekend. I am proud to say that I avoided eating any of the carb loaded snacks that my family brought along for the road trip. They even enjoyed some of my veggies. I managed to skip eating at our 2 stops at McDonalds. The first for breakfast, I had packed my egg. The second I just kept munching on veggies while family sucked down those poison fries and burgers. Anyway, for the past few days I have been famished and consummed 400-500 extra calories from Macadamia nuts. I found a can that someone had brought back from Hawaii. The bad part is that I am not on rung 3 or what ever the nut rung is but it was the only thing that I could find that wasn't carb or meat or veggie and I needed something.

So I started this blog to help channel some of my energy. I took a BIG plastic cup of water and then another and then I realized that actually I might be thirsty and not needing food. I had to limit my water intake on the road to avoid having to make those bathroom stops. For those of you who don't know, the ride from SF Bay ARea to Los Angeles is about 400 miles and my husband makes the drive in 5 1/2 hours - 6hours with one bathroom stop each way. So very little water.
