I was a little afraid when hubby invited me to dinner this Friday. He usually does this when I get into full swing on a diet. I didn't know the restaurant that we were going to so I couldn't plan ahead and I just wanted to have a good time on the 20th Anniversary of our first date.
The place we ended up at was actually a bar lots of appetizer type foods , called the Boiler Room (at the Richmond Marina in the old Ford Factory) the tacos sounded good but I ordered a Grilled Chicken Cobb Salad and it was Atkins perfect. I've never had a Cobb salad before and so I asked the waiter what was on it. Grilled Chicken, boiled egg, bacon, avocado, blue cheese, tomatoe and lots of greens. The only concern that I had was about the vinegrette dressing because I didn't know if it had any sugar in it but...the salad was deliciious and very filling. I didn't have any cravings for dessert and so I am patting myself on the back.
Today at the fall festival I didn't eat a thing, even though I had to work the popcorn and cotton candy booth.
Another day another challenge.

You GO girl!!! You inspire me! And celebrating the 20th anniversary of your first date... that's sooooooo sweet! I'd say you know a lot about the secret to a good marriage, and that's to celebrate it and be grateful for it.
I also love cobb salad, and it's one of my restaurant favorites as is grilled chicken caesar.
Now the fall fest thing, just have to say I'm in awe. I honestly don't know that I could have worked a booth and stayed true. How exciting a post! Thank you for this... made my day!
