So on Sunday I watched my football game with all the excitement of a kid in a candy store. I watched my Falcons beat their division rival the Carolina Panthers. It was a good day, in that sense. As planned, it took a siesta from the "no alcohol" portion of the diet, as well as from the exercise portion. Due to the Scotch, the exercise bit extended over into yesterday. I didn't feel too well. It's amazing how fast your tolerance drops off when you're not reinforcing it.
All that matters is that according to the latest NFL Standings, the dirty birds lead the league overall. Suck it Patriots. Next Sunday, we're coming for you.

OK, now that that's over...
So yesterday was an uncomfortable day. I woke up extremely late(compared to my usual schedule) at around 8am. Way too late for my usual 4 or 5am outdoor exercise, not that it mattered because my brain felt like it would rather be on the outside of my skull than the inside. I took a medley of otc pain pills and my multi-V. drank a couple bottles of water and went back to bed. About an hour later my bladder tapped me on the shoulder and reminded me about those two bottles. My headache was almost unrecognizable at this point, but my stomach was still upset with me for giving it nothing but Scotch, water, diet root beer, hot wings, and pork rinds for the last 24 hours. My anus would soon awaken and be in a bad mood also. Do they make Midol for anuses? Nevermind.
I threw on my headphones and turned on the audiobook I've been trying to get through, but always have other things to do. From around noon yesterday until 5pm, I literally did nothing but cook and clean in the kitchen. I cooked alot of pork chops and fish filets, made deviled eggs, cut up the remaining cucumbers, and several other things to make my dietary needs for the week a little easier. All while listening to the book.
I'm not sure if anyone here is into books on tape, or has ever even tried one, but I find they are immensely helpful in occupying your mind while you do relatively mindless tasks, such as cleaning, cooking, working in the yard, and exercising. I load the mp3's onto my phone and use a bluetooth enabled earbud set made by Jabra. It's a big help for me. I spend alot of time inside my own head as it is, so it's nice to get out once in a while.

I didn't weigh in yesterday as I planned to, mainly because I didn't want to see the result. I weighed myself Sunday night before I passed out and wasn't happy to see I was almost at my starting point. As it turns out though, this morning the scale was down to 306. That's 11 pounds off in the first week to 9 days, which doesn't feel all that impressive to me, but its something. That's always better than nothing. Also, with that first week down I now have a much better idea of just exactly what foods, eating schedules, recipes, exercise routines, etc., are working best so far and can modify to accommodate. I think this will be a more productive week than last.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I noticed that in my absense some new people(to me) popped up in the blog section. Time to reply to some people.

Just remember...
