**COMMENTARY**
Even though I post these in the morning following, I'm gonna start doing the commentaries as though I were posting the night of. Seems less confusing. So here we go...
After my walk/run this morning, I came inside to do my bit of business on the computer. I kept on going back outside because it felt so damn good out there. I decided to go do some yard work. This was somewhere between 0930 and 1000 I believe. I guess I went into a zone of some sort because next thing I knew it was 1400 and I had trimmed around everything, raked, mowed and blew off the front and back. Also blew off about 3 feet out into the street. I don't know why. The weather was PERFECT, but I shouldve thought about sunscreen. I started to notice the sensitivity and pinkish color after dinner. Bald heads need sunscreen. Now I can't shave it again until the soreness goes away. It's already about 1/16" long. Not good.
After having been out of construction for the last 6 months I expect to be more sore after doing that sort of "every muscle in your body" work, but thats the price to play the game.
So much left to still get done. I need to trim the hedges on the side of the house. Need to rake the straw off the roof. Need to sand down the garage and replace rotten wood so it can be repainted. Need to clean out the jungle around the sides and back of garage. Need to clean out garage and have a yard sale. Clean out flower bed of jungle of weeds.Clean out azalea beds. Rip up carpet in den and replace with tiles.
Luckily, I have plenty of mp3 entertainment to enjoy while doing said tasks. I don't use music, because I find that I tend to drift away from the music and concentrate on what im doing or think about other things. The podcasts and audiobooks hold my train of though very well.
Finishing "Contagious" by Scott Sigler now. Then on to "Nocturnal", then finally "The Rookie". If you told me a year ago that I would be listening to essentially "books on tape", I would have laughed at you. I guess you never know. After i finish Sigler's books, i have others waiting in line. Several books by Richard Dawkins, Christopher Hitchens, Sam Harris, and Darwin's "On the Origins of Species", read by Dawkins. Like I said, plenty to keep the gears turning.
Wow, so far I've ranted on and on and said absolutely nothing about the diet. OK. Here goes.
I need to go to the grocer for more eggs, but more importantly for lettuce, cucumbers, radishes, peppers, and other veggies. I NEED to incorporate more veggies to my diet. I don't mind eating eggs every morning, but eating bacon 3 to 5 days a week just won't work. Neither will sausage. I need to start making omelets with veggies instead of bacon.
Snacks, when I eat them, are barely induction friendly. usually it's just pork rinds and creamy lava dip, which is barely induction friendly(1 block cream cheese+1 can Rotel).
Lunches will be better once I get more veggies.
For now its usually a piece of meat with brobboli and cauliflower, and/or cabbage, and a couple ounces of cheeses and a pickle. Dinner I try to take it easy on, just follow that adage "Eat breakfast like a King, lunch like a Prince, and dinner like a Pauper".
All the shorts I've worn for the last 3 to 4 months have elastic waists. I'm sure I may still have 1 or 2 pairs of bluejeans I can still squeeze into, but I know that soon I will be backing into that old wardrobe that sits neatly folded in my dresser, waiting to be called in for 1 last battle before being permanently retired, as I am forced to buy even smaller clothes.
I hope Hawaii is ready for me, cause I'm getting ready for it.

**DEEP THOUGH OF THE DAY**
Anytime I see something screech across a room and latch onto someones
neck, and the guy screams and tries to get it off, I have to laugh,
because what is that thing. -Jack Handey
