The first sip of my morning cuppa joe told me something just wasn't quite right... the last sip full of coffee grounds confirmed the awful truth. I was so clueless this morning I had neglected to put the coffee filter in the drip basket. Gads whatta mess. Had to rinse the coffee maker reservoir and all in the iddy biddy sink in the staff restroom. Ack!

Mercifully the kids were pretty calm today with only a very few exceptions. The sunny yet crisp fall weather has everyone in good spirits I believe.

For breakfast I enjoyed a low-carb wrap with roast beef, string cheese, a pickle, a little mayo. Lunch was what was left of my baby spinach, pico de gallo, and dressing... also had broccoli and hummus. And a string cheese. Supper wasn't much, cole slaw then more cole slaw. Mine has no sugar, no sweetener, just shredded head of cabbage, a cup and a half or so of mayo, about a teaspoon dry mustard, ditto for seasoning salt, toss. Before I eat a bowl I give it a splash of soy sauce and about a tablespoon of parmesan. That's good eats. Treated myself to a slice of leftover pumpkin cheesecake.

I know I'm losing slow because I push the envelope on the carbs... but I seem to be developing a way of living that I can stick to and not cheat, not even want to cheat. Funny when I see my DH eat potatoes or chips or sandwiches my tummy just flip-flops.

It's quiet here tonight as my DH is at the office late on Mondays. I haven't turned on the tv, just whacked a few wise guys on MafiaWars (my guilty pleasure heheh), talked to my kids on the phone a bit. My son has a high fever and pitiful. I offered to come up and take care of him, but he doesn't want me to. My daughter and son-in-law announced they're trying for a baby.
