OMG Sadie you pulled me out ..you know I love my BC food!!!! (British Columbia in West Canada for those who do not know)...I live exactly 140 miles/224K from a brilliant and sexy hotel where my husband and I go plant ourselves for a three day grocery run about 4 times a year. Sadie showed you guys the best blueberries on the planet just there I tell you ....I go up and enjoy them (no produce across the boarder) but I did find for those on the booze/berry rungs you can take a half empty bottle of Gray Goose Vodka and fill it with blueberries then top it with vodka until they are covered ..then you can come back and toss it in the frig chill it way down and enjoy!!!! the essence of those berries is there!...wonderful fresh healthy food from all over the word in VanCouver...must be the munchies from the liberal laws is all I can say!!! works for me!!!Comment

Speaking of vodka, have you tried Crater Lake vodka nursey? I think you'd really like it...it's won tons of awards and I tried a bottle of it and thought it was great. Now here's a silly question. When you put the blueberries in the vodka bottle when you drink it do you leave the blueberries in or take them out? Sorry...just never heard of mixing it that way. Sounds yummy though!

I leave the blueberrys in the glass if they go through the top... and I put some frozen blueberries in the glass and pour the blueberry vodka over it...It is really too good for me addictive because.. I keep putting more frozen blueberries in the glass then adding more vodka then drinking or eating and then I have to even it out and well ....suddenly I am toast!!! I like the blueberries better in the vodka than any other berry because the vodka keeps it clear color and the flavor is really good!!! ....it brings the subtle flavor of the berries to the surface if you know what I mean!!!
good to see you girl! I am lucky to be able to live between and in the 3 best and freshest producers of food in the world I thin ...VanCouver BC and the Willamette Valley of Oregon!!! of course our Yakima Valley is right up there....how can I not yearn to cook wonderful food? ....and now they are making vodka as well as wine and sake in our areas..why leave????Comment
