  • Low Carbing with a Rotisserie

My wife bought me a Ronco Rotisserie for my Birthday to kick off my re-induction into Atkins. So far I LOVE it! I have made steak and Country Style Pork Ribs (which were good but I need a low carb BBQ Sauce, any ideas?) and yesterday I made a whole chicken and it was phenomenal. Anyone out there have one of these and actively use it? I wish there was a Bulletin board out there for this thing where people can exchange ideas/advice, but I have been unable to find one..

I use the carb options BBQ sauce...It is great.

Keep in mind I am in owl. Check the ingredients before you use it.

You might experiment with some dry rubs sometime - rub a mixture of spices, salt and pepper into the surface of the meat and rotisserie.

Look for web pages on BBQ or barbecue. It's considered a larger topic but rotisseries are covered on BBQ chat forums and lists.

We use our rotisserie all the time. Found a good recipe in the book that came with our grill and its wonderful for chicken! I believe you use garlic salt, pepper (pepper mill is great), and season salt on the outside and inside of the chicken. For the basting we use a stick of butter, oregano, salt, pepper, garlic, 2c of water, and 1c of chicken broth. It turns out fantastic (hopefully I am remembering the seasonings correctly).
