If you wanna try curry but are intimidated by all the spices, ingredients etc...i just made this at lunch in less than 10 mins.
I'm assuming that most grocery stores sell curry pastes, i actually get mine at Wal****
for 1.49. there are several different, thai curries, indian curries etc. I made this with a basic mild (it's really hot lol) indian curry. I'm sure curry powder would work too (pls feel free to correct me if not)? i just prefer the pastes.
I cooked 1 cup of chopped cauliflower florets in the microwave till tender. Chopped up into bite sized piece. threw 10 thawed cooked and peeled shrimp (you could use uncooked and cook a bit longer..this is just what i had) in to a pan with the caulflower. i mixed 1/2 tbspn of the curry with an ounce of heavy cream and a tiny bit of water to thin. poured that over the cauliflower and shrimp and let simmer a few mins till heated thru. You could throw any other veggies you'd like in..i only had cauliflower
or try it with chunks of chicken if you don't have shrimp.
That's it! came out amazing! literally less than 10 mins. Not as authentic as some of the other curries, but it tastes great and is quick and cheap.
