  • Cheese

Okay...I have a cheese question. I've done a search, and looked in my Atkins book, but haven't really found an answer.

I've read that too much cheese isn't a good thing, but I've never heard exactly why. Is it that it can stall some people? Another reason perhaps??

I've always been a cheese fiend, and I'm loving my brie, cream cheese, sharp cheddar, edam, etc. etc. etc. Limiting my cheese is the only big food issue I'm dealing with.

Thanks in advance for your thoughts!

I have found that softening my cream cheese make it go farther. I spread it on flax crackers and I can make 1 ounce cover 6 crackers easily.

Also, cheese chips make makes cheddar go a long way. I slice thin slices of cheddar and cut them into squares. I nuke them on parchment paper for 40-50 seconds...Voila! Cheez-its!

I love cheese too...I just try to make it go farther!

Cheese has caused stalled some people when eaten in excess.

Induction is the only period in which the cheese is super-limited, once into OWL a bit your cheese intake can increase, so keep it clean for the first couple weeks, don't go over the 4 oz per day, then take it up a little, always counting the carbs, and judge how you respond.
