Poll, whats your favorite Steak?

just wondering what everyones steak of preference is when you dine out or buy fresh.

I love Rib Eye steaks, i bought like 6 of em yesterday and have them sitting in my fridge calling my name, lol.

I make/order my steaks medium rare, hardly no marinade maybe a lil barbecue sauce ontop on each side when the steak is almost done.

Steak is my favorite food of all time!!! Thats why I sooooo Love this woe.

Ribeyes are my favorite but I will eat any kind of steak from the cheapest cut to the best. :icondance

Filet mignon of course--but way outta my budget LOL! We almost always have ribeyes marinated in Thomas' Marinade--they are to die for--every Sunday is steak nite at my house!

Prime. I like prime steaks. Choice will do.

But I suppose you were asking about steak cuts rather than grade.

So... Spencer. (Ribeye)

Seasoned with kosher salt and black pepper. Grilled over hickory to med-rare to give it time to absorb some of the wood. Rare if on gas.

Ribeye - without a doubt.


But on top I make a low-carb gravy.

Pan sear steak 3-4 min per side over high heat. After steak is done remove from heat and lower heat to med low. Deglaze pan with Madeira wine and a little beef stock and add a couple ounces blue cheese to thicken. By the time the gravy is done the steak is perfect med-rare.
