  • Stuffed Green Peppers?

    Anyone know how many carbs are in stuffed green peppers?

    I use ground beef with chopped onion salt, pepper, and a little bit of garlic. Topped with tomato sauce and shredded parmesan and mozzarella cheeses.

    Also was wondering if I should brown the ground beef first or if I can just cook it inside the pepper.

    You can put all your ingredients in Fitday and figure out the carbs, it wud depend on the size of the pepper too. I do not cook my hamburger first I put it in raw.

      I would personally brown the meat, onion, and garlic together a bit first to let the flavors blend before stuffing into the pepper.

      I would guess on around 3 or 4 net carbs for the pepper, plus whatever you add via tomato sauce, onion, and garlic, those could all vary a lot depending on the amounts you use...

        Tomato sauce kills me carb wise (I love tomatos!). I use tomato bouillon to cook with, which gives flavor but has less carbs.
