I am researching recipes now so that I can start Atkins Induction in December and I would like to know if anyone has any ideas on breakfast foods that do not include eggs. I read somewhere in the ATkins book about developing food intolerances/allergies due to eating the same thing everyday. I do not have a problem eating eggs but, I do not want to become allergic to them. My mother was on Atkins and had eggs almost daily and now she can't tolerate eggs or egg substitutes. Just looking for some variety in my breakfast. OH yeah, I do not eat any types of seafood.

Re: Egg intolerance
Sausage, bacon, leftover dinner, salad - just about anything! Try some tuna or chicken salad in the morning if you like it simple. Leftovers are my favorite!27 F 5' 7"

Re: Egg intolerance
think outside the box you can eat any induction legal food at any meal. I had whatevr my taste buds wanted during my induction days and so it ran from wings to fish and back to eggs.
Dr Atkins talks about rotating your protein sources so as not to develope an intolerance or allergy but you don't need to avoid them totally.

Re: Egg intolerance
I think I have eaten a million eggs since I have been on Atkins and I haven't developed any problems. BUT I do enjoy other things for breakfast. It use to be a standing joke cause my breakfast was two hard boiled eggs and two cherry tomatoes. This morning I had leftover pot roast. (SHRUG) It was so good.

Re: Egg intolerance
I don't eat eggs every day. For breakfast I have leftovers---mildly seasoned meat and cheese. Sometimes, I'll have roll-ups (meat or cheese rolled up in a lettuce leaf).
