  • Pork Rinds

    Hi!

I was just wondering if anyone has expeirance a stall eating pork rinds? Also, how do you use them (besides just eating them plain). I like "breading" my meats with them. THANKS!

You can eat them as a snack, or crush them and make an excellent substitute for breadcrumbs in meatloaf or for breading. Crushed very fine it makes a sort of flour. Look in Low Carb Cooking Lessons for more hints on cooking with breadcrumb substitutes.

i used to hate pork skins.

but, i love snacking, especially while watching movies.

while looking for something to snack on, i stumbled on plain unflavored pork skins -

i take them and lay them out in a single layer on a cookie sheet, spray the pork skins with a butter spray and dust them with a sprinkling of cinnamon and splenda.

i then place them in the oven under the broiler, watching them so they don't burn.

they are usually done in about 1 minute of so.

i take them out, toss them in a bowl with more cinnamon and splenda and enjoy with a big glass of sugar free lemonade.

You can save yourself a whole lot of time and trouble by microwaving them. Put rinds into bag or covered container and toss with splenda/cinnamon. Place on a plate and nuke until hot.
