  • Soy Flour and Thicken Thin

Can anyone tell me where I can get soy flour, or thicken thin? What about Atkins Bake Mix?

I can get Soy flour at our natural foods co-op. The Bake Mix you can get at some grocery stores or a low carb store. We have three of them in the Sacramento area.

I get Guar Gum at my local grocery store--it's quite inexpensive as compared to ThicknThin, which I believe sells for upwards of $20.00 for a package. Guar Gum cost between $2 and $3.00.

I used it just today to thicken gravy for a pork roast I had fixed in my crock pot... and served it with the faux mashed potatoes. The meal was absolutely delicious (if I do say so myself, and I DO!)

GNC might also be a place to find such items.

        Good luck!

Lovesong, where in your store did you find the guar gum?
I asked my local store for black soybeans and they looked at me like I was crazy. LOL
