where can I find black soy beans for soups/chiles and such? My local commissary doesn't carry them. Im wondering if it would mean a trip to the health food store? I've seen the green ones in the freezer section but thats about it :sadblinky

Yep, I get the Eden's Organic brand at WholeFoods, They don't stock too many cans on the shelf at one time so they are always selling out--I usually pick up at least 6 cans when they do have them so I know I will have them when I need them for my Texas Chili! :yes

I don't have a can handy here at work, but they are the lowest carb bean that I have ever found...I believe they are like 4 carbs a can! The Eden's Organic brand does have a website if you care to look it up. They are just beans, they are a little crunchier IMO than most canned beans, but they make a great substitute in chili and I found a recipe using them to make refried beans although I have not tried that yet.Originally posted by Innawhat are these black soy beans ? do they taste like regular beans? and how many carbs ? thanks!
