A friend urged me to switch to stevia from splenda, so I bought a box of individual SteviaPlus packets because that's all I could find.
It gives me a stomach ache when I use it in coffee. Bf took a sip of my coffee and he didn't like it either.
I find I can hide it in baking when I combine it with splenda so at least I'll use the rest of the box up.

I have found that his technique of using the cup of water to find the amt you are happy with to be perfect...I did that with splenda stevia combo and now it is easy for me to mix two to three (notice this Scott?) sweeteners to make a perfect combo...anything with coffee or chocolate flavor seems to do the best for me ..I think it is the the natural bitterness of chocolate that helps mask any chemical or bitter flavor in the sweeteners as well...but I have to use two differing sweeteners together or they taste terrible to me as well....


ps it is expensive but only the initial outlay I have been on the same tiny container of stevia that cost me a $10 for almost 8 months!!!! when you only use a pinch at a time it can last forever ....all recipes I have tried I have found I can cut the total amt of sweetener in half when I use synergy so in the long run ...I am not buying sugar and it is keeping my weight down and there for my medical expenses are going to be less ..that is how I justify it

Heidi, I thought the natural bitterness of coffee would be able to mask the stevia taste for me....nope! It was coffee with a strange herby aftertaste (yuck!!!!!)

that is because you have to mix the two splenda and stevia together to get the right taste...I dont like stevia in coffee I should clarify but if I am baking something or making a coffee dessert of some kind and mix stevia and splenda it is just fine


I personally like my coffee very strong with lots of cream and no sweetener
