Re: Silicone cookware
I have only bought 1 piece so far. I was making eggplant parm ans wanted another dish. It was cheper then the pyrex so I tried it. That dish baked it nicer then my glass one. It also cleaned up with no scrubbing. I am real impressed. I think muffin pans next~Lauren~
support? Isn't it time to give some back?

Re: Silicone cookware
they even have some that flex on their own now so skicky muffin pop out is a breeze too. I'd be afraid they would pop out too soon though in the handling.

Re: Silicone cookware
if you have one of those silicon mats for nonstick think of the entire pan like that and it can take freezer to over up to abut 450 F so you get lightweight plastic like pans that are durable like steel but flex like icecube trays if you remember them for easy getting food out to serve. Oh and you can get lots of color choices too anf the FDA has determined if the silicon is food grade safe or not.by the book atkinseer

it is a patina that improves my ability to cook ..it is a scientific fact

Re: Silicone cookware
I love my silicone! And I use my pizza stones for cookies! I have the cupcake ones, the bread loafs and round cakes ones. Oh and another cake one, dang it! I can't think of the name ... with the hole in the middle? I bareley even own any metal baking pans anymore. (They rust down here) They are great! They go in the dishwasher too!BARB

Re: Silicone cookware
I haven't had much luck with mine. I first bought a loaf pan and my flax bread stuck to it. I tried a muffin pan too and they also stuck. My brother gave me some little ramekins for Christmas and one of my mini-quiches stuck, even though I sprayed them with Pam. I don't know if I'm just buying an inferior brand or there's some other reason things stick. Any ideas?
