    Ok so is Oil packed or water packed better. The oil packed adds about 100+ calories...but is the oil "good" oil???? ensive ensive Thanks

    I use water packed but add a tablespoon of full fat mayonaise - and thats even better!
    Atkins didn't say 'Calories don't count',
    he said, 'Don't count calories.'

      I believe I read in DANDR that the oil packed is recommended -- it is packed in olive oil. It said that oil packed is better for cooked meals, and water packed better for out-of-the-can meals (ie tuna salad). I think it's just pesonal preference, but both are fine.

        I like oil packed better--there is one that is packed in olive oil and it is delicious! I use it on top of a salad w/o draining it and then just add vinegar and you have olive oil and vinegar dressing!
