  • Aerosmith And Brownies

I just have to blurt out that my Aerosmith Concert was amazing (in case you did not know my boys gave us tickets this year for Christmas!!!) ...OMG you guys the energy they have and ...well old or not ..they are still freaking hot!!!!!! every song was perfect the entire show was amazing and I was lucky enough to be next to a girl who is just as wild at concert dancing as I am ...we went nuts and I almost touched both Lenny Kravetz (who opened and is also amazingly hot), Stephen Tyler and Joe Perry!!!! I am such an old groupy!!!!

so that said....I burned off so much moving to that freaking amazing music...that I am going to make those Brownies Sadie posted...and I am thinking of using as she said some almond flour instead of the soy flour ...I am just wondering if I can do it 1 for 1?

and because I am a responsible adult now ..unlike times in the past

...just because I went all wild at a rock concert I am not going to regress and put any pot in them

I have everything else for the recipe but like Sadie I am not a fan of the soy flour ...I don't like the taste or the texture so what do you guys think?

Same amt of almond flour as the soy flour?

Re: Aerosmith And Brownies and SYNERGY!!!!!!

I have to say for those who do not know me at all... I am incapable of following a recipe to the letter...or even in the same alphabet ..I cook by feel and technique....love coming here for inspiration..so maybe this recipe will be helpful to someone who needs ritalin as badly as I do ...

one of these good sized brownies would make a great filling breakfast if you were on the nut rung of owl because they have cheese and nuts and fiber and eggs...there is nothing that would not work ...I had a heck of a time coming to terms with nuts that is for sure..(they made me sick because I ate to many go figure on that one!)

Warning ...if you are tentative about sweets..don't make them...but if you are ok with something once in a while ..go for it...these are not very sweet at all ..I cut the amt of sweetener way down and used SYNERGY to get more for less

you will have to put this in fitday if you want to know the breakdown...I am trying to be moderate on my own now ...with out using numbers ..not easy ...

          George Stella's Brownies completely distorted

1 1/2 tablespoons wheat bran ground fine with a 1/2 inch piece of cinnamon in a coffee grinder(I did it on a whim because the bran was just flying around in there not grinding the stick helped grind the bran and hid the taste of the bran nicely)
1 cup of finely ground almond flour

1 cup finely ground dried coconut
          4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
          1/2 cup unsalted butter
1/3 cup Erythritol (I am hoping if Scott comes along he will see this and be proud of my efforts )

          1/4 tsp of Stevia
10 packets of Splenda (all these mixed together well I put them in the coffee grinder to spread around amongst themselves them evenly)
1/2 cup coconut milk (seemed right)
          5 jumbo eggs
1 vanilla bean scraped ...(I think vanilla is fine I just love the beans and was wanting this perfect)
I forgot to put the baking powder it ..and am not sure how it would have improved it texture wise but will next time it called for a tsp and a half

beat the eggs, add the melted butter and chocolate, vanilla and splenda (synergistic sweetener mixturea bove ) just mix them up well do not whip air into them then stir in the almond flour coconut and bran ...just mix it all up together and pour it in a greased pan
          bake 320 for 35min
          set to cool

          Frosting

          8oz cream cheese
          1/4 cup unsalted butter
          2 oz bakers unsweetened chocolate
          splash of coffee
1tsp of maple extract (real maple)
          1/3 cup whipping cream
1 packet of splenda and a dab of stevia

1/2 cup chopped and lightly toasted walnuts mixed with 1/2 tsp of fresh ground cinnamon and 1 packet of splenda

ok so melt the chocolate and the butter while you beat the cream cheese with the splanda and stevia, add the melted chocolate, the coffee and the whipping or heavy cream ..just keep going until light and fluffy

spread on cooled brownies then top with walnuts and the cinnamon mixture

cut up into reasonable sizes and enjoy

see I told you I was leaving out the pot

            Re: Aerosmith And Brownies

My husband gave the revised brownies a 7 on our one home made scale for low carb desserts...

1 is do not ever feed me this again 10 being ok this passes as a good dessert

he HATES Splenda but says with the three combined and reduced in amount and the chocolate there are enough flavors in these to call them good ....

hey a "7" for him and a low carb dessert is a HUGE accomplishment for me ..usually he takes a bite and says "please do not make me taste that one again ok"
