  • I Have A Nice Piece Of

    Danish blue cheese

    want to help me think of something magnificant to make with it?

    I have lots of ingredients and a store close..and I am too whipped to clean my house or do anything else productive today ....it is my day off ...and I love to cook when I am chilling.... so please give me an idea of what you would make with this nice big piece of cheese please

    I would just stick a knife in it, cut off a piece and enjoy!

        Add the cheese and real butter - melt

        Get a couple of big portabella mushrooms and scrape the underside making a cap.

        After the butter and cheese set up together, put in caps.

        Broil until brown...this is sooooooooo good.

          already did that but I have all this left can I cook something with it ? I have made some things and sprinkled it on top and made blue cheese dressing

          I want to make a nice dinner I have chicken and calamari and since I dont do seafood with cheese..do you have a chicken dish idea? something unusual would be nice

            shitttt how did I miss this? we must have typed at the same time...great minds you know ...ok this is good I am making it!!! with chicken

            good thing I read this because my husband was going to take the plate and knife and cheese out to his shop!!!!

                  LOL I was not going to say anything but ...um ....nope we ate it all last night with cut up red bell peppers.... it was so good ..smooth and creamy it just kind of disapeared..when my husband came back in again!.........but I will try that for sure tonight......I have some regular blue in the fridge and bought some portabellos for tonight

                    Well, Heidi, I was shifting some veggies in my frig tonight and I found a log of chevre behind cabbage. I just plopped a ounce of it on a WASA cracker, tossed it in the microwave for 30 seconds--it was warm, melty, creamy, and tart! Absolutely delicious.

                      I have never thought of warming chevre ...yummmmmmmmm

                      for lunch some days I take chevre and hollow out a red bell pepper and put the cheese inside then sandwich it ...

                      it would be good like that warm as well yum!!!!

                      I got everyone at work eating bell pepper sandwiches now ...they are so crunchy and good with cream cheese or any kind of cheese inside ....

                      I never met a cheese I did not like ..even the stinky ones!!!

                          Rikki it is awesome and very simple to take for lunch! try chopping green olives into the cream cheese or just plain is very good....I have also put egg and chicken salad inside the peppers I cut the pepper into four long pieces scrape the white crap out and fill them then put a top on like two halves of a sandwich
                          I like them with the red peppers the best but any bell pepper works!
