Okay I was owndering, what the deal on cocoa and vanilla extract??

If cocoa is allowed, what kind and when? And does it have to be imitation vanilla extract? The real on has corn syrup in it so I bought imitation. Is that okay?

I really appreciate you guys letting me BOMBARD you with all of these sill questions. I just want to be able to cook the right things, ya know?

Thanks again for being here for me!

Cocoa should be non-sweetened, naturally. For me it was kind of difficult to find, but hunt around in the baking section/hot cocoa section and you should be able to find it. Cocoa is considered a spice as long as it doesn't contain sugar and is allowed at any rung.

A lot of people here do buy imitation vanilla extract and you're probably ok; my opinion is that recipes rarely call for more than one or two teaspoons at a time and that much cornstarch isn't a make or breaker. Also, I use a "double strength" vanilla so I only need half for any recipe.

Haha, thank you! It wasn't until I started answering your questions that I realized I actually knew stuff about stuff.
