  • I Went To Buy A Knife And Ended Up Spending....

I had this intense craving for a new knife (maybe it has SOMETHING to do with it being tax season around my house ) anyway the plan was to go to my favorite restaurant supply store and choose a knife that I really liked and buy it! Everyone has their own favorite thing to give themselves a treat and mine is ...a wonderful something something from the restaurant stores ..

so after work today I went to one of my favorite stores...and ..the knife selection was just too big to deal .....but right next to the kives... there sat two types of mandolynes .(OMG I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED ONE)..both restaurant grade...very nice..durable looking ...one cost $270 the other was $167
Mandolynes have no middle class..you either go with the good ones or buy crap ..nothing in between ...I was bummed ...how can I justify this much money on something that does what I can do with a good knife

I must have been drooling or something because with out my saying a word she said look if you want the $167 one I will knock off $50 HOW COOL WAS THAT ANYWAY????

...so guess what I did with my knife money today

I am now the proud owner of a brand new mandolyne....

I am going to go slice things in very thin slices ..just because I can .....

do you guys have one? ..does anyone use one?....if so enlighten me please I am so excited!!!! Ok I am always excited...but now I am excited and doing it in thin slices!!!!

Alright Heidi, this is just weird! But it's kinda like me and fitness equipment, so I can sympathize.

Not sure what to make paper thin slices out of - I like my veggies thick.

        But congrats and enjoy!

Uh oh - OUCH. You could do some serious damage with that thing.
