    Re: Low carb chips?

I think its Megs who makes them from Celeric? I tried making Jicama chips, they were ok but not great--you have to eat them right away or they're soggy.

I will try every way and hope I do not hit an artery that would be embarassing considering I work in urgent care

                  Re: Low carb chips?

In the low carb cooking lessons forum, I have a thread with the instructions for the celeriac and pumpkin chips.

Heidi, if you are in maintenance phase, you can chip sweet potatoes, acorn squash, plantains, etc.

Oh I just love Plantain chips! I can actually buy them at the local Mexican grocery store, the ingredients are oil for fying, plantains and sea salt! All the work has been done for me! They also have a nice spicy one, I'll have to check the ingredients on that one next time I'm there for sugars! There is a Cuban restaurant here that serves freshly made plantain chips, they serve them with a very spicey dipping sauce that I have yet to be able to duplicate! I wish I knew the name of the sauce.

I know the sauce you are talking about, but I'm drawing a blank on its name.....Give me time, and I'll remember it.
