I had that Strawberry omlette this morning.

Mixed reviews for me to be honest. It looked horrible, but tasted lovely. very impressed. Thanks very much.

first off I am so happy you tried it Rich good for you stepping outside the norm!!! not that I am surprised!

I wonder why it looked awful
tell me how you make your omelets ...let me trouble shoot..because mine was golden on the outside looked like a half moon and fluffy on the inside with the cream cheese and berries all inside so you could not see them until you cut it with your fork ....

I use butter then I barely beat the eggs in a bowl ..when the pan is hot toss the eggs in ..push them around a little until 1/2 cooked then on one side put the cream cheese and strawberries ...when I feel it is ready just fold it over ..take it off the heat and let it set for a while ..do you do it like that?

my gf made it and she basically just broke the yolks instead of whisking. Thus making it a little like a flat broken up fried egg with Strawberry pieces on it!

Next time, i will be making it, and making it like i normally do omlettes - acutally beating the eggs.

oh ok ...I don't beat them like crazy but I do mix the egg and the yolk together

Lovely flavour. Heidi, I am actually quite tempted to add a little cinnemon next time also.

I love the faux pancakes recipe I have - cream cheese, eggs, cinnemon and nutmeg.

I thought the omlette was similar to the pancakes, and can see the cinnemon working.

Its a garlicky soft cheese. French.

Its one of my favouites Heidi. It comes in a little round package.

I bet we have it here for sure..I most likely have seen it....maybe I will have better luck than with the broad beans...

Heidi, we have Boursin. It's in a green and white little box. Inside the box is a round foil container.
