  • Chicken liver identity crisis?

What is the deal with chicken liver? I nearly panicked after eating some tonight and going to enter them in my fitday log! The first one below is the one that came up first, and my heart siezed. Then I found the others. What is going on -- why the differences and which one is correct? I took them out of the container, rinsed them off with water, dried them, then fried them in peanut oil.
    • Chicken liver, cooked 10 oz, raw (yield after cooking) = 23 net carbs
Chicken liver, braised 10 oz, raw (yield after cooking) = 2 net carbs
Chicken liver, fried or sauteed, no coating 10 oz, raw (yield after cooking) = 9 net carbs
Chicken, liver, all classes, raw 10 oz = 10 net carbs
Chicken, liver, all classes, cooked, simmered 10 oz = 2 net carbs

I did Extended Induction from 1/3 to 5/9 (2006) and lost 55 pounds, so I know I can do it again!

Liver does have a fair amount of carbs due to glycogen stores, but not THAT many. I would check another nutrition site like the USDA database. http://www.nal.usda.gov/fnic/foodcomp/search/
