    Re: My lunchtime salad today!

Awww, isn't it nice having your lunch packed for you?

Right now, I cook all of DH's lunches. His coworkers know he's on Atkins but they just drool and drool over what I make him for lunch. They are so jealous! One day he might have meatloaf with a side of strawberries. Or leftover steak tips with green peppers and onions. Or a chef salad with a side of almonds. Or chili. You name it. He says they're all jealous. Another manager asked him where he got his lunches, and he said, "Johanne made them (my name)." That manager said she wished she "had a Johanne at home."

That made my day. It feels good to be the lunch packer as well!

Hmm... I'm not sure exactly what steak tips are (as for cut of meat or whatnot), but they're just bits of steak (like small bit of stewing beef) but nice and juicy and tender and whatnot... we fry them together with a bit of oil, green pepper, and red onion. Delish! This is roughly what the steak looks like.

I also make 'sandwiches' to take to lunch. Sometimes I use slices of thinly sliced meat as the bread of the sandwich filled with tomato, lettuce, mayo, diced pepper and onion. Other times I make the sandwich with the meat in the middle and use the lettuce as a wrap or bread.

I also take salad a few times a week. Sometimes I take meatballs and veggies. I really enjoy my lunches. They are simple, but very tasty.

Omg, MEAT as bread! YUUUUUUUUM... Beats the lettuce leaf, imo.

              Thanks for the tip.

I always have leftovers from dinner. Everyone drools over my lunch as well. While I'm heating up my lunch they're pulling their frozen dinners out of the freezer! LOL--poor suckers!

Steak tips are usually cut from Sirloin roasts Rich.

I love boursin, but what is Mangetout?
