I made myself eat celery.. I hate it hate it hate it.. I used a stick and used 1oz cream cheese and I ate it since my 4 year old said he wanted one and kep[t repeating to me.. "Mom this is good for me right?" so I had to eat it LOL... any advice on how to eat it and not feel like gagging?

lol i looove celery. hmm...you could try juicing it. i love doing that! you can add a little lemon, strawberry, etc..to take the edge off.Starting Weight: 190 (2005)

Celery. I can totally understand where you're coming from. How can one thing that looks like a giant toothbrush and taste like one, be good for you? lol. Do you like stir fry? Perhaps saute it with your favorite meats and seasonings. One thing I've learned....and it gets a little OCD...I "destring" my celery. It's something that I can do so the strings won't stick in my teeth like a red-headed hillbilly.

Thanks.. I know but I am just hoping if my kids see me eating it they wil develop healthy eating habits.. so sad a few weeks ago everytime I would say come on time to eat or hubby would say it the kids would hand me their shoes to go eat
yesterday we went grocery shopping and my oldest assummed we were getting macdonalds so threw a fit
is just something I got them used to it that need to break them form it

I agree with "If you don't like it, don't eat it". There are plenty of healthy alternatives to celery. Personally, I like it, but there really are many foods you can go for. Definitely read the chapters pertaining to whatever phase you're currently in. When I get tired of one thing I go back to the list of foods to find something i haven't tried yet.
