  • little zing to deviled eggs

Made deviled eggs from 2 boiled eggs- and added about a tsp of lemon pepper seasoning to the mayo/egg yolk mix. I was surprised how much better it tastes (I'm not crazy about the taste of mayonaisse). Zingy!!

Just wanted to share, if anyone wanted to try it out

One of my favorite "add-ins" is chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. You can buy it in the international section of most grocery stores. It's hot, spicy and smoky. Anyhow, I make a chipotle mayo using 1 cup of mayo with 2 or 3 finely minced chipotle peppers (freeze the rest of the can and use them for other dishes like sauteed ground meat, etc.) It adds alot of flavor to devilled eggs, tuna salad, chicken salad, etc. I love to spread a teaspoon of it on a grilled chicken breast or salmon steak.

        YUMMIE!

I like to add crabmeat and or shrimp to mine, Old Bay seasoning in place of salt and sometimes a little dill weed as well.
