  • Sunday Breakfast thread

OMG IF I DO NOT GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE AND GO AWAY SOON I AM GOING TO TOSS MYSELF ON A SWORD...meanwhile......while my husband sleeps ..

What do you like to make for Sunday breakfast?

I have made and eaten the best omelet while watching the sunrise and wanted to share it with the folks on the berry rung

I have told you about strawberry omelets before ..well today I did it fritatta style toss lightly beaten eggs in a hot pan with olive oil then move it around a bit so the bottom is quite cooked ..put a handful of gorgonzola on top and stick it under the broiler for just few untl the top is cooked and cheese is melted a bit... take it out before browning and immediately slice some of those wonderful California strawberries I keep finding on top ...serve

he has got 15 more min then I am waking his asss up to eat

That sounds awesome. I don't like gorgonzola on salad, and it's the ONLY cheese I've ever objected to, so I'm going to try it your way. I will be on berries soon and maybe by then there will be some good ones in MN

Today I had leftover tuna salad wrapped in romaine w/super sharp cheddar, an oz of cashews and hazelnut coffee w/cream. We have our meeting ("church") at 12:30, so I have an early lite breakfast and a good lunch usually. But we LOVE to go to brunch buffets if the timing works out with the baby.

Hope you had a great adventure! I don't think you mentioned it here, but in another thread. And hope he loved your breakfast too
What is it, a RACE? It's coming off, right????

For breakfast this morning, I had an omlette with cheese, ham, mushrooms and chilli.

Since I have a little more time to be creative, Sunday is my non-egg or try-a-new-recipe day. I mean, I'll use em -- but it's not the usual omelette or poached.

This morning I made low-carb pancakes with blueberry topping and a side of bacon. Yum.

My all-time favorite is thick cut french toast with maple syrup and strawberries, which got me into trouble, weight-wise, lol.

One of my current favorites is bacon and over medium eggs, fried in the bacon fat. Eggs scrambled in it is also yummy. If I scramble them I throw in chopped peppers and cheddar and hot sauce on top.

I hear you MSNICK!!! I do not care for it on a salad but with strawberries I promise you it is totally different ..for some reason there is magic between very sweet strawberries and gorgonzola cheese ..I promise just fix plate and eat them together ...try to find the Oregonzola if you can ....

Since I can't eat berries yet that sounds like it would be good with some sliced advocado on top also.

Unlike all you other lucky ladies and gentlemen, I work every weekend. TIRELESSLY. Ok, I'm pretty tired, but shush.

I was going to just do a whey protein powder shake with a little bit of heavy cream, but I couldn't find my shaker cup (it is still awol and its location is quite a perplexing mystery right now) so I had....FLAX COOKIE. Yup. I'm boring. This what happens when you only get out of the shower 10 minutes before you need to be at the office.

This morning was a boring bacon and fried eggs breakfast. Haven't had bacon in ages though, so it was a nice change.
