  • Made a Horrible Pie Crust. What Did I Do Wrong?

    Has any one ever made the pie crust from "Low-Carb Luxury's" Web site? http://www.lowcarbluxury.com/recipes...e-bread08.html. I made it just today and it was the most awful, and very first low-carb crust I ever made. My crust was as hard as a rock, glued to my baking dish, even though I oiled it before putting in the crust, and all the fat baked out of it and formed a pool at the bottom of the crust. I was prebaking it. Has anyone ever attempted to make this crust? I can't eat any soy, so I was excited to see this recipe had no soy and looked simple. Is whey isolate supposed to be "instant?" I noticed that after adding the water, the volume of the crust mixture began to decrease. Is this normal? I am new to low-carbing and don't have a clue about baking with these special ingredients. ensive

    did you follow the exact recipe with all those ingredients?

    I've made nut crusts before and they have done just fine. Im soy allergic too
    Did you cook it for only the 10 min and then fill it?

    yep when you wet the powder all the air mixed into it is gone.
