I have a can of keto crumbs in my pantry, which I have used a couple of times for breading and in recipes. When I went to add into my fitday.com custom foods, I (hate to admit) I was too lazy to walk into the kitchen and get my can, I just looked online for the nutritional information. I was surprised when no two of the sites agreed on the nutritional information! I was even more surprised when I finally went to get my can and it was entirely different from all the others I'd read. What's the scoop on keto crumbs? Are they schizophrenic? Have they changed the recipe on them? Or are they just unsure by a magnitude of 100% what the real nutritional information is?
My can is the same as the information I finally found here. Note the serving size is 1/2 CUP.
http://www.spinellinutrition.com/keto-crumbs.html which is:
Keto Crumbs Nutritional Facts
Serving Size: 1/2 cup (28g)
Servings Per Container:
1 container has 11.5 servings
Per serving % Daily Value*
Calories 110
Calories from fat 10
Fat 1 g 2%
Saturated fat 0 g 0%
Cholesterol 0 g 0%
Sodium 590 mg 24%
Potassium 480 mg 12%
Total carbohydrate 13 g 4%
Dietary fiber 9 g 33%
Sugars 0 0%
Protein 13 g 26%
For these other sites (and many others), the serving size is decreased to 1/4 cup, yet the other information varies. And somehow they still have 11.5 servings in a can even though the servings are half as big!
Does anyone know the truth about this? I can see it changing if the crumb formula has changed over time (my can is from last year), but it seems VERY suspicious to me that one of the labels online shows the exact same nutritional information as mine, just with half the serving size.
By the way, are these at all induction legal? What is their impact?
