  • Mashed Fauxtatos....can't find the recipe

    Hello all,
I have seen several posts about "mashed fauxtatos" made w/cauliflower,
but can't find it on the board.
    Anyone?
    Thanks, Michelle

I have never made this recipe, but I know which one you are talking about. But am unsure of the quantities.

Take some cauliflower and steam cook it. Dont boil as some water will be retained in it. Add a tub of cream cheese, and salt and pepper to taste then just mash it all together.

I hope this helps you slightly

It never ceases to amaze me of how easy and how effective this ***diet*** is!!

I have since re-gained a bit of weight, but that is soon to be coming off again!

      Thanks Richt,
Do you know if it's a small tub, big tub, ??? Also, do you think this is okay for induction?
      Thanks, Michelle

I use a whole head of califlower to 3-4 ounces of cream cheese a pat of butter a few dashes of salt pepper and garlic powder. after steaming the cauliflower till very tender add the cream cheese first then the cauli to the blender season to taste and blend until creamy good! I love these and I am pretty sure they are safe for induction. btw this makes alot of servings just store in a covered bowl and reheat in the microwave delish!!!

Ketatoes improves the taste of fauxtatoes tremendously.

A good fauxtatoes recipe can be found in the forum Low Carb Cooking Lessons.
