Hello, I have been seeing a lot of Flax lately from the TV to the grocery store. Flax meal, Flax seed to Flax cookies and I know the carb count is a little lower but I have never heard of this stuff. What is it? I did remember seeing some posts saying Flax foods were trouble but it was so long ago I can't remember what I read. Anyone care to hit on this one?

Re: FLAX good or bad?
flax is very low carb .76 net carb for 2T high fiber almost 4 g for 2 T high fat seed with good for us Omega 3s
according to rule 12 chapter 11 of induction you can add flax to your induction foods if you are constipated. the rule says 1 Tablespoon or more so start with one tablespoon and then increase as needed. once you get unconstipated you get to keep your flax seed meal for the rest of your induction at that level. if you weren't constipated then you can't have it until you get tot he nuts and seeds rung 3 of OWL. you can have flaxseed oil thoughby the book atkinseer
