  • Recipe Endorsements

Okay, I know most folks around here know all about Linda Sue's site and use it often, but I just wanted to say that I tried these two recipes tonight and they were AWESOME! Served the radishes as a side with our bratwurst meat dish and had the cake for dessert with my husband. Sooo good.

I took her suggestion and cooked the radish home fries for 10 minutes with the lid on before browning, and they were FANTASTIC! Just perfect. I used to love home fries, and these radish ones are delicious.

I ground my almond flour up myself in my coffee grinder from unblanched almonds for the cake, and frosted it with cream cheese "frosting." (Cream cheese and splenda). It was rich and moist. My husband and I split one.

So, just so you know, these are easy and amazing!

Changing....when I read this post, I looked up the choco cake and read that. Then I hopped up and went into the kitchen and made it. Wow, what an easy little treat!!! I did like you and nuked 1 oz cream cheese, added about 1/2 tsp orange extract and a drop of sweetzfree...YUM YUM. That whole chocolate/orange combination is soooooo good. The cream cheese adds a creamier texture to the cake. I'd recommend to everyone to frost it.

Changin I love Linda's site too. That cake looks really good. And a great idea for portion control.
One thing I have found since eating this way for so long is that I can really cut back on the sweetners in recipes when baking and still satisfy the sweet craving.

          Yes! Yes! Fabulous portion control!

And you're welcome, Heidi! LOL, the "PMS Special." I think I'll file it under that in my recipe files.

We're thinking of doing a peanut butter frosting for a couple of them and serving them to my in-laws, who also low-carb.
