I am making 3.5 pounds country syle ribs in a crock pot--- is it ok just to pile them on top of each other?

it is but I usually brown them first?.....the thing with a crock pot is getting the food up to heat fast enough to keep bacteria from growing so as long as they are not packed in with out airspace it should be fine it is also better if you start high then turn it down to med or low later when it is at a good simmerOriginally posted by thinsgreatI am making 3.5 pounds country syle ribs in a crock pot--- is it ok just to pile them on top of each other?
