  • I am obsessed...

with Montreal Steak seasoning. My bottle at home is 4 times the size of the one in that picture.

    I put it on everything.

Well, everything that it doesn't taste gross on.

Tonight I sauteed chopped onions and mushrooms in butter (to go with jalapeno chicken sausages) with Montreal Steak seasoning and garlic powder on them, and they were simply AMAZING... seriously... I have been known to put it in my egg salad (I know, sounds weird, but trust me).

Anyone else in love with this spice blend?

I'd like it a lot better if the main ingredient wasn't Salt! I love salt, but by the time you put enought of it on something to get the spice flavors its too salty! I wish they made a salt free version.

I have a bottle, but it seems real chunky. Maybe I'd like it better if it was more finely ground.

I've been using Goya Adobo con Pimento on Steaks

Oh I love salt, don't get me wrong! But I love seasonings too, and by the time I get enough of the seasoning flavor with that montreal seasoning, the salt overpowers everything! I rather be able to season and salt seperatley!

Hey Ms P, maybe you can grind it in your coffee grinder?

I love the Montreal Steak seasoning as well.....but being half Mexican and having learned to cook some things from the mothers of the various latin men I've dated.....I LOVEEEEEEEEE Adobo......When allowed citrus you should try the marinade Mojo Crijollo....its got salt, pepper, garlic, citrus juices...its a wonderful meat marinade....usually used with Cuban Pork Roasts and stuff....

                    Re: I am obsessed...

I bought that adobo seasoning and I'd say it's nothing but flavoured salt? The Montreal seasoning I have doesn't have nearly as much salt as the Adobo one. I looked for a salt free or reduced and wasn't able to find it. It's the same Goya brand you showed there.

I put Montreal seasoning on everything too, I also get Montreal smoked meat at my Grocery store, that's would be similar to pastrami seasoned with montreal seasonings...It's awesome!
