  • A friday treat!

I have just bought myself a small tub of green olives stuffed with blue cheese off of our Friday market for a little treat.

    They were fantastic.

I hope I dont make anyone jealous!?

I love those! But then, I love all sorts of olives and of course we all know I LOVE CHEESE! I'm having fresh cheese curd for breakfast. My folks just came back from 2 weeks up north where all the dairy farms are. (My home town) and they stopped by the dairy and picked up a bunch of fresh cheese curd's. If you've never had them, you don't know what you're missing!

Quite expensive mind, I paid £1.93 (close to US$4).

And only got about 8 of them.

I'm jealous. I love blue cheese stuffed olives. I buy them at whole foods whenever I go. It's easy to do yourself, but who wants to make the mess?

Yea, plus the ones bluecheese stuffed olives at Whole Foods are stuffed by some kind of mechanical device, if you pop the little piece of cheese out it is a uniform cylinder shape with rounded ends...kinda weird looking! Doing it by hand would be squshy and mushy messy!

I got them from my local market in my home town in England. You could come over and get some from here!?

Or failing that, Miss Phode (who is also from Florida) may be able to help you.

                      Try Sweetbay (Kash & Karry)
or Publix. At publix they have them behind the deli counter. Sweetbay has an olive bar that you can help yourself to near the deli counter.

The garlic stuffed ones and the anchovy ones are yummy as well. But this talk is making me thirsty. Olives always make me thirsty. I got some from WholeFoods last week, they also have Caper Berries on the olive bar, those are delish too!

I saw the almond stuffed ones also, but decided on balance to try the blue cheese variety. I will sample the almond ones next week.
