  • Kraft: Food & Family

So my magazine came in the mail, was flipping through it and were actually a few things in there I'm going to try out myself.

    * Mini Taco bowls (I think I'm going to use one tortilla though and drape it over something, or tucked into something larger and make it like a taco bell salad bowl)
    * One-pan chicken and potato bake (going to use turnips instead of potatoes)
    * Cheesy harvest veggies (minus carrot and crackers of course)
    * Roasted green beans with peppers and onion
    * Easy layered taco pie (thinking maybe bake tortillas or fry to make them more like a toastada)
    * Loaded baked potato soup (how could I have not made this with turnips yet? Clam chowder is delish with turnips)

More there to convert, go take a look. It just gave me some really good ideas.

Make the taco bowl out of cheese. I posted a how to make your own taco shells from cheese thread here a while back, you do it same way just drape it over an upside down bowl to cool instead of folding it over to make a taco shape.

Here's the link if you're interested (complete with pictures)

I get that Kraft magazine here too and love it. I thought the green beans would be awesome. Also you could try the loaded baked potato soup with cauliflower also. I love creamed cauliflower soup.

I love the cheese crackers and im sure I would love the taco bowl, however my husband will not touch those cheese crackers. My kids love them, and the flax cookies lol. I thought id give the tortilla bowl a whirl as an occasional medium ground for him since hes not doing Atkins.

Thanks for the compliments on my goal /cheer, I really need to get around to posting a picture. Cauliflower soup sounds awsome.
