  • oxo substitute in the UK

    Hi All

I'm looking for a stock cube type of thing that I can buy in the UK that will be Induction Friendly - just for putting in with my mince (ground beef).

    Does anyone have any suggestions

    many thanks

Knorr makes a liquid beef concentrated bouillon. It says on the label that there are 9.5 carbs per 100 mil. The whole bottle is 180 mil.

As far as I know, there is no cube type stock/bouillon that's suitable for induction. They all have some form of sugar or starch.

If you have the time, I'd boil some beef bones to make a stock and then reduce it. Those cubes are mostly salt/msg, though. There's very little beef in them. If you dont' have the time and want an easy workaround, I'd just add some salt to your mince, along with a little MSG.

How about a spoonful of marmite instead?

Looks the same as OXO but without the flours and sugar

You could add some onion powder too.
Wondering how to get 'most' of your net carbs from your induction veggies?
