Oh, to make those tendrils, you need to pour in the egg while stirring the broth. So hold the bowl with the egg in one hand and pour while stirring with your other hand. Of course, if you can volunteer someone to help you, one pours and the other stirs.

Ah, that would be why...I didn't stir it until the egg cooked a bit. I'll scramble the egg in a measuring cup and pour it and stir at the same time...can't wait to try it again!

I'll have to start buying chicken broth in bulk now!

to add to megs a couple of tbls of rice wine vinegar to the broth helps firm up the egg so when you swirl it into the broth the tendrils will be stronger

check the bottle and do not by the "seasoned" variety it has sugar just the plain rice wine vinegar ...you may already know this

I'll definitely check it...among different brands you never know what's in it sometimes.
