  • Sausage Stuffed Mushroom Caps

I found a really great recipe, and modified it for this WOE.

1 package of spicy sausage (I used Jimmy Dean HOT)
    1 minced garlic clove
    1 tsp of dried oregano

Fry sausage until browned. Drain and allow to cool.

Put sausage in a bowl and mix in:

8 ounces of softened cream cheese
1/2 cup of romano cheese (you could use parmesean)
    Salt and pepper to taste

Mix the above ingredients well, and then add to this:

    1 egg yolk.

Mix well again. Spoon into mushroom caps. Top with a sprinkling of romano or parmesean cheese. Bake at 350F for 25 minutes. Delish!

I brought these to a friends house this weekend, and they gobbled them up in no time.

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around. People come into our lives for a reason, a season, or a lifetime. Embrace all equally!
