I would really like to find the soy puffs, but we are seriously lacking in asian markets around here. I found one but all they could show me was regular tofu when I described the puffs.
So, if i tried frying tofu myself some time, what type of oil is best for that? I have found a couple of recipes online, but some suggest dredging in tapioca starch for a "crust" which I obviously won't be doing. Does it get a little crusty with nothing on the outside?
I am obviously intrigued by this idea.
I also can't wait to try to make NulloModo's rolls recipe when I get my ingredients in!
